Dear friends of Little
Rose,
As I promised I would
keep you abreast of our progress at the Foundation. As you can see our gift shop
is still incomplete. We hope to have it up and operating soon. We have many
items that we are sure you will find useful for personal prayer and gifts for
your loved one's. Be assured that all profits from the sale of these items will
be deposited into the Little Rose Foundation account.
Funds are coming in but slowly. We are grateful to you who respond with your
financial gifts and prayers. In order to make it easier for you to donate, we
now have Pay Pal. All you have to do is click on the link to donate and follow
the instructions. It's easy.
As you must know by now Flora's house has been sold again. I would have loved to
have purchased it for the Foundation but the funds were not there. The articles
such as Rose's altar, candelabras, statues, kneelers, photos and many other
items that belonged to Rose, that had to be put in storage in Rhode Island, has
now been brought to New York for future display.
We encourage you to form Little Rose prayer groups, either in your homes or
parishes. This is a very important way to promote and inform others about Little
Rose. If you need help forming a group contact me and I will help you get
started. Group leaders are required to register with the Foundation, so that
News Letters can be disseminated to them for the group.
Did you know Rose was a Secular Franciscan? I understand she was professed the
day she took her vows establishing her Order. If you know of any Secular
Franciscans you might want to tell them about Rose.
For those of you who remember in 1964 the Bishop of Rhode Island sent out an
edict not to promote Little Rose. Since that time we have been given permission
by The new Bishop of Rhode Island, Bishop Thomas Malloy to continue to have
devotion to Little Rose so as to promote and imitate her virtuous life.
Continue to send in your prayer request. Your request are presented each morning
to the Lord through the intercession of Little Rose.
Thanking you in advance for your prayers and financial support as we continue to
celebrate the 70th anniversary of the death of our Little Rose 1902-1936.
Through the intercession of Marie Rose Ferron (Little Rose) I remain your
Brother in Christ,
Deacon Nicholas A. Mazzei s.f.o.c.j.
